Congo African Grey

Spikey spent her whole life in one home, but then her mamma got very sick,
and she could no longer give Spikey the attention she needed.
Spikey is a confirmed female, Congo African Grey, and she's a petite little girl.
She is shy, but definitely wants your attention, and will step up and give her foster mom a kiss for the price of one cashew.
She says, "Gimme a kiss" in the cutest little raspy voice, and says "come on",
when you try to get her to step up when she doesn't want to.
When she feels very comfortable, she'll fly to your shoulder and give a quick peck on the cheek,
before flying back to the top of her cage.
Spikey is still settling into her foster home, but she is getting more confident with time, so check back to see her progress!
Spikey is being fostered in Howell, NJ and will only be adopted to someone that is willing to
drive to do the required visits. We will NOT ship our birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location.
As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, or in their family's home, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds.
