Stevie is an extremely social, loving Lovebird. He has been DNA sexed male

A bird store that sells birds received him with a flock of lovebirds. They noticed that the other lovebirds were attacking him and Stevie was separated for his own safety. Stevie has a large puncture wound above his beak on the right side. Stevie also has neurological issues and has a head tilt and moves his head around. Stevie also will walk around in circles in a clockwork fashion. But Stevie can balance on a perch or hand, climb in his cage and seeks interactions with his foster mom and everyone else he meets. As soon as he sees you approaching his cage and talking to him, he runs over to the front door to come out and step up for you. 

Stevie was brought to an avian vet who confirmed /his puncture wound looks like trauma from an attack. Stevie's neurological issues may be congenital, but the vet thinks it is also possible that it was caused due to trauma. 

Stevie can't fly, but can walk and climb just fine. Stevie's puncture wound will require routine cleaning. Stevie is in a hospital cage that is not very tall to prevent falling hazards. 

Stevie may be a perfect match for someone who is retired or works from home and wants a friendly bird to cuddle with. 

Stevie is being fostered in Manalapan, NJ. He  will only be adopted to a home within driving distance; we do not ship our adoptable birds.   For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location.
