Meet Milo, Milo is a 17 year old Dusky Conure recently surrendered due to no fault of his own. Milo is a sweet vocal bird, who is somewhat hand tame. Milo is active on and around the cage and is still getting used to his new surroundings. He enjoys calling back and forth with you. Milo will give a yoo-hoo whistle to check and make sure you are around. He is definitely into a good head scratch and will mumble "do it, do it, do it" when asked if he wants you to do it! He enjoys all kinds of nuts and is doing well transitioning to a pellet diet.
Milo is being fostered with a Senegal parrot and large dog. He and the Senegal chat back and forth throughout the day and have learned each other's calls and mimicking, so cute! Milo is not bothered or afraid of the dog at all and shares his treats with the dog from time to time.
Milo is being fostered in Lake Hopatcong NJ and will only be adopted to someone that is willing to drive to do the required visits. We will NOT ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, or in their family's home, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds.
