Hatch Date: Sheila and Prada - Summer 2020 

These adorable girls, Sheila (white) and Prada (light green) are Besties of the best kind!.  They have each other's back and even take turns preening each other like the true BFFs they are.  They came from the same home, where there were a total of 40 budgies from two sets of parents. For The Love of Birds will be taking in a total of 20 female budgies as openings permit. The owners are keeping the males and have separated the sexes in their home to prevent any additional clutches. 

These girls chose each other from the others in a large flight cage. and began hanging out together. They were used to being free in a room with the other female budgies and have been adjusting to being in a cage more often in their foster home, where they have lots of perches to explore and toys to play with. These adorable girls are wonderful together and a joy to watch!  They will return to their cage on their own if given time out of cage for free flight, and enjoy listening to music and watching kids' shows like Sesame Street and Blues Clues.  If you think you could use some "girl power" in your life (because, really WHO CAN'T!?) apply to take these two home today!

The group are being fostered in Howell, NJ and will only be adopted to someone that is willing to drive to do the required visits. We will NOT ship our birds. 

For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster home throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location. 

As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, or in their family's home, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds.
