Bluey, the DNA’d young adult male Parakeet, was found on the hood of a car in Newark on September 30. We soared high and low for his owner with no success. Bluey is now disease tested and ready for a home that will be his last.

We are working on hand-taming as he is a bit nervous. His cage is left open often and he is starting to venture out to explore his foster home slowly. He would benefit from having a buddy to have conversations about their adventures in life.

Bluey is being fostered in Lake Hopatcong, NJ and will only be adopted to someone that is willing to drive to do the required visit(s). We will NOT ship our birds. 

For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA, we have no central location. 

As our adoptable birds are living in volunteers' homes, or in their family's home, we only allow approved applicants to meet our birds.
