Joe is a 19-year-old male cockatiel. He lived with one family his entire life. But due to changes at home, he wasn't getting time out of his cage or the attention he deserves.

He was surrendered when his owner had to leave for college and could not take him with her. He was a little timid at first, but now he enjoys hanging out at the front of his cage when people are around.
He isn’t very comfortable with hands just yet, but he is getting much better as time goes on. He is relatively quiet, though if you are loud he likes to add to the conversation. 

He is quiet at night and sleeps when you sleep and gets up when you wake up, he will give you a good morning chirp. 

He can get a little grumpy, but with a little time alone he cools off just fine. 

Joe’s favorite treat is dried banana chips and he also likes millet seeds. 

He seems to tolerate lettuce but has yet to venture to other fresh veggies.

He spends all of his time in his cage and has only been brave enough to step out once, with some encouragement from his banana chips of course, but likes to have his front door open.  Joe is a wonderful bird who would be a great member of any family!

Joe is being fostered in Newtown, PA. We do not ship our adoptable birds.
You must live within driving distance to meet and adopt birds.
