Charlie is an incredibly charismatic and happy-go-lucky, Yellow Crowned Amazon Parrot.  

DNA confirmed male.

He is approximately 16 years old.  

 

This boy loves music, loves to sing, and enjoys conversations.

His whistling is on point, and he truly appreciates and thrives on interaction and praise.

 

Cage-free time is a must for this boy, as he appreciates stretching his wings and being a part of the family happenings. He is not an experienced flyer, but he will attempt to take flight and quickly grounds and needs assistance getting back up to his stand. He will put himself back in his cage for naps and for bedtime.

 

Charlie knows the step-up prompt and will allow gentle head scratching.

He will, in typical Amazon fashion, however, vocally with a little growl, let you know when he prefers to keep to himself.

 

Charlie bonds well with women and is a bit nervous around males, but trust should be obtainable in time.

Charlie is being fostered in Howell, NJ, and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance.
