Hi Rock!" is just one of the endearing phrases Rocky happily shares throughout his day.
Rocky is a 40 year old, confirmed male, Yellow Naped Amazon, who is pure entertainment! Not only is Rocky extremely intelligent, comical, and beautiful, he truly is a very well-behaved boy!
Interaction is a favorite-Rocky loves conversation, and can even sing some opera when the mood hits him. Rocky can and will reciprocate an "I love you❤️"
He's not quite ready to be handled just yet, as he's fairly new in his foster home, but head scratches are welcome (on his terms of course :>)
Substantial out of cage time is a must for Rock, who is perfectly content just sitting on top of his cage observing. He spent many years confined to a small cage, so we want to make sure Rocky's forever home makes up for lost time.
Rocky came from a home with dogs and currently resides with one without issue.
Rocky is being fostered in Howell, NJ.
We do not ship our adoptable birds.
You must live within driving distance to meet and adopt birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved
adopters to make the required visits.
