SweetPea is an adorable male English Budgie.  While only a few years old, he's had a lot of struggle.  His beloved owner got very sick and needed to be in the hospital /rehab long term, and she could no longer care for him.  Before she fell ill, SweetPea had a very bad case of mites, and the matter worsened, when she tried to treat them using the only over-the-counter treatment she could find.  SweetPea started pulling his feathers out due to the itchiness and discomfort.  Our Rescue stepped in to take him to an avian vet for the medicine he needed, and he healed nicely and grew all his feathers back.  The Rescue also took SweetPea to the vet to have a small growth removed, that had begun to grow large and annoying for him.  

Now SweetPea is doing well and looking for a loving forever home with a companion.  He is interested in the birds in his foster home and would do well as a companion bird.  SweetPea is extremely docile and low energy, and he will step up with some urging and allow you to hold him in your hands for rubs.
